Brain Grain used to sell nine separate passes, from ₹199 to ₹999. That is over. There is now one membership — ₹49 — and it opens every paid thing on the site. Most of Brain Grain was always free, and every bit of that stays free.

⏱ Nothing renews on its own. We do not hold a mandate on your UPI or your card, so no money can be taken from you again without you coming back and paying. When the 30 days run out, access simply stops until you choose to renew. If you renew early, your remaining days are added on top — you never lose a day you paid for.
✓ The free side of Brain Grain is not shrinking to make this worth buying. Every practice question, every chapter Q&A, every concept card, the daily tests and the free regulator checkers stay free, no login, as they are.
Why one price instead of nine
Nobody sits one exam in isolation. A TNPSC aspirant is often also writing CTET. A nurse doing OET is writing an SOP three months later. Charging separately for each meant the person with the most to prepare for paid the most, which is backwards.
₹999 was a decision; ₹49 is not. The old OET pass was priced against a resit that costs ₹32,000 — defensible, and still a sum you have to think about. At ₹49 there is nothing to weigh up, so the product has to earn the second month rather than the first payment.
A price list nobody can hold in their head is a bad price list. Nine passes at five different prices with different validity dates took a paragraph to explain. One number does not.
We would rather be paid monthly for something used monthly. A season pass that expires on exam day gets bought once, in the last fortnight, by someone panicking. That is not the habit worth building.
It stays honest about what is free. Most of this site is free and always has been. A ₹49 membership does not create pressure to move free things behind it; a ₹999 pass quietly did.
Questions
Will I be charged again automatically?
No. This is not a subscription with a mandate — we have not set up auto-debit on your card or a UPI AutoPay mandate, and we cannot take a second payment without you coming back to this page and making it. When your 30 days end, the paid features simply lock again. Some people find that annoying and would prefer it to renew itself; we would rather you were never surprised by a charge.
I already bought a pass. What happens to it?
You keep it, exactly as sold, for exactly as long as it was sold to you. Passes bought as "valid through exam day" still run through that exam day — becoming a member does not shorten anything, and if your old pass lasts longer than a membership month, the longer one is what applies. If you bought a pass recently and feel short-changed by this change, email us and we will sort it out.
What if I renew before my 30 days are up?
Your remaining days are added to the new 30, not thrown away. Renew with 4 days left and you get 34. We would rather you paid early than waited to be locked out.
Is anything that used to be free now behind the ₹49?
No, and this is the commitment worth reading twice. Nothing that was free has moved behind the membership. Every practice question, every chapter answer, the daily TNPSC and CTET tests, all 435 concept cards, and the free NMC and HCPC English checkers stay free and need no login. The membership covers what was already paid.
Is ₹49 an introductory price that goes up later?
₹49 is what it costs today, and we are not going to pretend to know what it will cost in a year. What we will commit to: you will never be charged a different amount without choosing it, because nothing here auto-renews. If the price changes, it changes for a payment you decide to make.
I'm outside India — is this my price too?
Not currently. ₹49 is an India price. If you are buying the OET, IELTS or SOP check from outside India, those pages still sell their own international tier, priced for where you are. Everything free stays free wherever you are.
Refunds?
If the membership does not unlock what this page lists, or something is broken — full refund, no forms. Email thebraingrain@gmail.com. Given it is ₹49 for 30 days, we would rather refund you and hear why than argue about it.
Do you run a coaching centre or an institution?
The membership is a personal one. Group licences for coaching centres and colleges — with a group leaderboard and per-student tracking — are separate and still exist at /for-institutions.
