There are no current-affairs questions here, on purpose. The general knowledge in this bank is the static kind — history, polity, geography, science, economy. A generated current-affairs item is out of date by the time you read it, and a stale one is not a weak question, it is a wrong one.
What the TN TRB actually is
- TRB recruits teachers for Tamil Nadu government and aided institutions: Post Graduate Assistants for Classes 11 and 12, Graduate (BT) Assistants, Computer Instructors, Physical Education Directors, Special Teachers and Polytechnic Lecturers. TRB also conducts the TNTET.
- Most of the marks in any TRB paper are the candidate's own subject, at UG and PG standard. This practice does NOT cover the subject paper — it covers what the papers have in common.
- The common component is educational psychology, teaching method and evaluation, the Indian and Tamil Nadu school education system, ICT in teaching, and general knowledge including current affairs.
- The papers are objective, set in Tamil and in English, and have been computer-based in recent recruitments.
